Rental Terms
All vehicle rentals are governed by a comprehensive Rental Agreement that you will receive upon booking confirmation or when collecting your vehicle. This agreement outlines important terms, conditions, insurance information, applicable charges, and your responsibilities during the rental period. In the event of any discrepancies between these Terms and the Rental Agreement, the Rental Agreement will prevail.
Eligibility Criteria
Renting a vehicle with us requires:
- To hire a vehicle from Car Hire in Bispham, you must be at least 21 years old, though age restrictions may vary based on vehicle type, with potential extra charges for drivers under 25. You need a valid driving licence suitable for the vehicle category, held for the duration specified in the Rental Agreement. Valid identification and proof of your current address are required, along with payment information and a security deposit. Additional requirements may be outlined in the Rental Agreement.
Booking and Payments
- Reservations can be made via our website, by phone, or in person at our Bispham office. A deposit may be necessary to confirm your booking. Full payment, along with a security deposit, is generally required at the time of vehicle pickup. All prices are quoted in British Pounds (£) and include VAT where applicable. We accept major credit and debit cards, processed securely through trusted payment systems.
Vehicle Pickup and Drop-off
- At the time of vehicle collection, it is important to conduct a detailed inspection and promptly report any pre-existing damage. A vehicle condition report will be prepared and signed by both parties. The vehicle must be returned in the same condition as it was received, taking into account normal wear and tear. Any new damage will be evaluated and may result in additional charges. Please return the vehicle with the same amount of fuel as it had at the start of the rental; failure to do so will incur refueling charges. If you expect to return the vehicle late, please contact us right away, as late returns may result in extra fees. You will be responsible for any parking tickets, traffic violations, or other charges incurred during the rental, along with an administrative fee.
5. Coverage and Responsibility
- All rental agreements include basic third-party insurance. Details regarding coverage and excess amounts will be outlined in your Rental Agreement. Options for additional insurance may be offered to limit your financial responsibility. It is advisable to review these options thoroughly. You remain liable for any damage or loss up to the excess amount unless additional insurance is in place. Responsibility for damage resulting from negligence or misuse remains with you, regardless of insurance coverage.
6. Modifications and Cancellations
Cancellation and amendment policies differ based on the type of booking and the notice provided. For precise details, please consult your booking confirmation or Rental Agreement. Keep in mind that late cancellations or failure to show up may incur additional charges.
7. Restricted Activities
Prohibited Uses of Rental Vehicle
- The vehicle must not be used for any unlawful activities, including racing, rallying, or off-roading. Transporting hazardous materials is prohibited. Sub-letting the vehicle or permitting unauthorized drivers is not allowed. Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs is strictly forbidden. The vehicle should only be used for its intended purposes, and you must adhere to passenger and weight limits. Operating the vehicle outside of the designated geographical areas without prior approval is also prohibited.
Breach of these terms may lead to rental cancellation and extra fees.
8. Liability Restrictions
To the fullest extent allowed under English and Welsh law, Car Hire Bispham will not be responsible for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of profits, data, or business, resulting from your use of our services. Our total liability for any claims is capped at the rental fees paid in the past 12 months. This limitation does not apply to liability for death or personal injury due to negligence or for fraudulent activities.
9. Local Legal Framework
These Terms are regulated by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes will fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of their courts.

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Changes take effect as soon as they are posted on our website. Continued use of our services indicates your acceptance of the revised Terms.
